Flats for Fun Charters was originally formed in 2010 as a division of Key West Florida Fishing Charters. In 2014, the company hired Captain Dan Bieszka to run all of it’s charter operations in the Key West Flats. The hiring of Captain Dan to run Flats For Fun Charters changed the course of the company.
Captain Dan quickly fell in love with fishing the unique waters of the Flats. Over the next 5 years, he honed his backcountry fishing skills learning the best techniques, locations, and seasonal patterns for each one of the large variety of fish species that call the Flats home. Captain Dan quickly acquired the knowledge required to insure customers are provided the best opportunity to succeed in their primary objective: catching fish!
Captain Dan’s desire to own the business grew stronger with each passing year. In 2019, he purchased Flats For Fun Charters to operate it as a standalone company dedicated to the art of Flats fishing. Flats For Fun Charters is determined to provide you with the best Key West Flats fishing experience available in the charter business today. Whether you prefer fly fishing or spin casting, Captain Dan knows the how, when, and where to fish the Key West Flats.
